First Baseball Game

Last night we took Auggie to his first minor league baseball game. We saw the Peoria Chiefs play the Kane County Cougars. Which the other team happened to have a kid from the Real Housewives of Orange County playing for them, Shane Keough. Anyway Auggie had a great time, he played slept and ate at the game. We sat on the lawn so we could spread out and relax. The Chiefs won the first game that they were resuming from the day before because of rain, but lost the second game bad! Auggie wore his rally cap when the score got to 12 to 1. Overall we had a great time even though the Chiefs did so poorly. When we go on vacation next week we are planning on going to a Cardinals game, so this gave us some practice.

Faux Vacation

This past week we spent out at Grandma and Grandpa Lohnes' house. Since we could not afford to go to Wisconsin with everyone we decided to have a faux vacation at the Lohnes Ranch and enjoy the swimming pool, jacuzi tub, and Harley-Davidson. On Wednesday night we went to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Stults at Gil's. On Thursday we went to eat cheap tacos with Mandy and Tim, Daddy's friend from work. We got to see a crop duster fly really close to the house and also found a very tiny praying mantis. And on Saturday we took one last dip in the pool and the boys got lazy in the lounge chair!! It was fun and as you can see Auggie loved the pool and being a mega ham!

3 Months Old!!!

On the 16th Auggie turned 3 months old. Tuesday we went to pick up his cousin Kierra in Lincoln so she could stay with us for the week. Then on Wednesday we celebrated having Kierra with us and Auggie's 3 month birthday by going to lunch with Daddy at Lou's Drive-in. Then Kierra helped with making brownies for Auggie's birthday. That night we went to Portrait Innovations and had Auggie's pictures taken and then went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. We came home and sang to Auggie then ate our yummy dessert. Kierra read to Auggie every night before bed and was a big help around the house. Auggie loved having her around to look at and play with.

4th of July!!

This was an exciting week! On Wednesday Mommy turned 31! We went out to dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Stults and the Henke clan. I was pretty sleepy and slept through the end of dinner. Then when we came back home I tried out Grandma Ruthie's new bumbo and my cousin Kierra read a ton of books to me! I loved it as you can tell. I listened really good and laughed at all the funny parts! I can't wait until she comes to stay with us for a week on the 14th. She is going to be a great help to Mommy, Daddy and little Auggie.

Then on Friday I celebrated my very first 4th of July! It was very exciting. We went to lunch at an American treasure, a true 50's style drive-up, Lou's in Peoria. I experienced the burger, fries, root beer and milk shake 6 hours later thanks to Mommy. Then after lunch we made it over to our neighbor's house for a block party. We swam even though it was freezing and Auggie did not mind. Then after a long visit with all of our neighbors we walked down to another neighbors house to watch the fireworks from their river view. By the beginning of the fireworks Auggie was asleep and not even phased by the fireworks. Auggie slept through the entire thing and didn't even wake up while Mommy and Daddy talked to the neighbors again back at the Taylor's house after the fireworks. We had a great week with so much excitement and fun!!
