Fun Weekend!

Auggie had a fun weekend! Friday night we celebrated Grandma Ruthie's 65th birthday! Auggie got to take a picture with all the cousins on the Stults side and Grandma Ruthie. It is really hard to get 4 children to all look at the camera at once! Auggie also was dressed as a train engineer to go and see Grandpa Kenny that night, since Grandpa Kenny loves trains so much! Auggie was lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Stults babysit him for a short while Friday night and for a longer while on Saturday night so Mommy and Daddy could go out and enjoy Springfield's "Blues and BBQ" event. We had fun listening to music and ran into the newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. St. Aubin and Maddy!!! Auggie had fun hanging out and playing with Grandma and Grandpa Stults too! Also on Saturday we all went to Knight's Action Park for the last time this year, he loved watching everyone in the lazy river. On Sunday we ate lunch with Grandma Ruthie for her birthday and then just hung out with her. We had a great weekend, but I think we are all exhausted!

New Guitarist!

Here are Auggie's 4 month pictures. I think they may be the best yet!! Daddy came up with the idea of using his guitar and case. I think we are going to have a little guitarist one day!

Another busy week!

Well on Monday Mommy had her first day of school with kids and Auggie had his first day of daycare. It was very sad for Mommy, but Auggie loves to be there and watch all the other kids! He just smiles at everyone! Monday was also his 4 month doctor's visit and he weighed in at 17 pounds even and 27 1/4 inches long. That is the 98% for height and 86% for weight. He is starting to thin out. Which I don't think he looks thinned out, but the scale says he is! The doctor said he is perfectly healthy! He of course joked again that Auggie is going to be playing football for the U of I, which would make Grandpa Kenny VERY happy! Grandma Ruthie is pulling for a basketball player though! Auggie also started on rice cereal. He is not real fond of it but we are practicing our swallowing every day. On Tuesday Auggie had his 4 month shots. This time he wailed!!!! When it was over though I hugged him and he stopped crying and was fine the rest of the night. Daycare has been really hard on Mommy this week, but it seems like Auggie loves it since he seems to not even realize I am there to pick him up each day. On Friday Daddy plays Mr. Mom again and I love that!! I know Auggie and Daddy do too.

If anyone would like to watch Auggie at Daycare please email me at seven2@comcast.net and I will email you the website, username and password.

Happy 4 Month Birthday!!!!

Tonight we went to JC Penney and had Auggie's pictures taken. They turned out great! I can't wait to put them up on here! We also went out to dinner and Auggie got a hold of Mommy's sunglasses. Afterwards we came home and ate our birthday brownies that Daddy made for Auggie. As you can see Auggie is just like Daddy and can't keep his hands off of the chocolate!!!

End of Summer Fun

Well last week Auggie and Mommy meet our friends Lindsay, Caden, and Carsen in Lincoln for lunch. We had so much fun visiting and comparing Carsen and Auggie's changes! On Friday Mommy went back to work sadly and Daddy had his first day of being Mr. Mom. The boys had a great time napping and playing! Then Friday night we went to the Lohnes' to celebrate all the August birthdays. Auggie had a great time being kissed a lot by his cousin Shelby. Shelby just loves her cousin. Auggie has now learned how to roll over onto his belly and sometimes can even roll back over onto his back. We will be going tonight to get his 4 month pictures and celebrate his birthday. On Monday is his doctor's appointment and we will find out how much he weighs and what food he can start eating. Then Tuesday we will be going again for those nasty vaccines.

Snuggle Pals!

I know I already blogged today, but after changing Auggie's diaper I laid him on the floor and Tiny Elvis sprawled out next to him on his back. Can you tell Elvis really likes his little brother?

Very Busy!!

Well our August started off very busy, with two birthday dinners for Daddy. We met Mommy's family in Lincoln for dinner to celebrate Daddy's birthday on August 1st. Then on August 3rd we celebrated his actual birthday by going to church, lunch, then dinner. On Monday we left for our summer vacation. We went to St. Louis for a cheap, quick vacation and time to spend together having fun before Mommy has to go back to work. The first day we went to the zoo and besides sweating all our fluids out, we saw many animals including a baby elephant and a baby giraffe which was really cool. That night we went to The Hill to eat dinner at Rigazzi's. On Tuesday we headed to Six Flags for some swim time in the 101 degree heat!! Auggie had so much fun watching all the kids swim and go down slides. On Tuesday night Auggie went to his first Cardinals game and slept through most of it. He was such a good baby and made it through the entire game even two extra innings and two rain delays!! Cards won by the way, GO CARDS!!! Wednesday we checked out of our hotel and went to Blueberry Hill a restaurant in St. Louis that has good hamburgers. We then shopped a little and went to look at the river front in St. Charles.
On the way back home Mommy decided to stop in Springfield and stay with Grandma and Grandpa Stults with Auggie until Daddy could come down on Friday. This was the first time Mommy or Auggie had been away from Daddy overnight since they have been married or born. Thursday, Auggie got to go to his first Illinois State Fair parade. He had fun other than some of the loud sirens and horns! Those scared him to death. Friday Auggie achieved the roll over at Katrina's house!! Katrina, Maddy and Mommy watched as he rolled over to his belly and we all three clapped and cheered for him. Saturday Auggie got to go for the first time through the State Fair. We saw pigs, sheep, cows, horses, chicks, ducks and even a butter cow. He wasn't all that interested but Mommy and Daddy really enjoyed their Vose's corndogs!! We also saw his picture at the cute baby area (he didn't win, even though he did in our minds!) and he got naked at the fair!! Finally on Sunday we went to church with Grandma and Grandpa Stults and then swam at Knight's Action Park.
We had so much fun on our vacation as you can see. We are sad to be home and for the summer to be almost over. Mommy has to go back to work after 4 months off on Friday. She is very sad to leave Auggie and can't believe the time has flown by so fast.
