Doctor's Appointment/Sonogram

21 weeks...On Monday we had our regular check up, my blood pressure was good and the baby's heart beat was strong at 150 bpm. They measured my belly twice and said I measured at 29 weeks and I was only 21 weeks. This raised some concern with the doctor since the measurement was so far off my due date. The doctor said it could be a few things: due date was way off, we could be having twins or I could have extra fluid (which could be bad). She scheduled an earlier sonogram than what was planned. We waited two agonizing days!!! Today we went to the sonogram along with Grandma Ruthie, Grandpa Kenny, Grandma Geri, Grandpa Bill, and Aunt Kendra H. The baby measured to only be a week ahead which is totally normal. The heart looked good and sounded great at 140 bpm this time. The fluid looked fine and not any extra. We all got to see the baby really show it's stuff. It wiggled all it's fingers for us and even gave us a #1 signal and a gun salute with it's hands. The sonogram tech showed us both of it's feet and arms, the spine and the profile of it's face. The pictures above are from this visit. This visit was very special because Grandpa Bill had never seen a human baby sonogram before. I think he was amazed at the baby moving and wiggling around. Everyone is very happy that everything is okay, especially the Mommy and Daddy!!

Krista - Wow what a surprise when I received your card. Great way to announce the little one.

You look great.

I understand you have been substituting in the Peoria schools - Sue said you were in her nephew's room.

I am excited for you and know that Chad and you will make wonderful parents.

Keep me advised.
Happy holidays!
